The Bloomfield NJROTC conducted the POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony this morning (September 13, 2024) in honor of the 1587 Americans who are or were prisoners of war or missing in action.  There were 51 Hoosiers on that list.   Today we remember those Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who did not return home after answering their nation's call to service. We hope and pray for them and their families for their safe return home or at least the closure that they all desire and most certainly deserve.    We conducted the ceremony today due to the actual date of this national observance being on the 20th which is coincidentally our e-learning day.

The Bloomfield NJROTC team volunteered their time and effort to spread gravel and paint a 200-year-old hotel in support of the Scotland Historical Society. This work is helping prepare for their annual Scotland Festival, scheduled for September 21, 2024. Led by our Executive Officer, Blaine Vandeventer, Cadet(s) Hunter Sisk, Elaina Raper, Avery Malone, Cole Townsend, Cohen Graves, Resada Norris, and Matthew Vandeventer rolled up their sleeves and made a real difference.
